Other Language Funding Sources

Although students can receive Project GO funds more than once, there are other funding sources and opportunities worth considering for language training.

Boren Scholarship
Receive funding to study abroad during the academic year (Project GO funding is primarily for summer study).

Southeast Asian Flagship Language Initiative (SEAFLI)
Students from any U.S. college or university may apply to study Indonesian (study domestically at UW-Madison during the summer, then in Indonesia during the fall academic term).

Foreign Language and Area Studies Funding (FLAS)
Funding for language and area studies during summer or academic year available through various institutions. Click above for FLAS information at UW-Madison.
