New Resources Added to the Database Library in Turkish Studies

Posted on June 21, 2024
Democracy in Turkey, 1950-1959: Records of the U.S. State Department Classified Files (Gale)
Database Library:  https://search.library.wisc.edu/database/UWI60613
Permalink (use for LibGuides): https://digital.library.wisc.edu/1711.web/au-dtrussdcf
Of note: The database added is part of Gale’s Archives Unbound collection, which is available for text analysis and data mining through Gale’s Digital Scholar Lab (https://www.library.wisc.edu/data-services/digital-scholar-lab/)
Also added are a couple of other Gale databases with some relevance to the wider Ottoman Empire:
  • British Campaign in Mesopotamia, 1914-1918
  • Egypt: Records of the U.S. Department of State, 1853-1962
